| LIBRARY & READING ROOM |

The college has a well stocked library and spacious reading room which remain open to all students throughout the year from 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. (except Saturdays, Sundays and Gazetted holidays).
Every student is given readers tickets which they use to get books issued. Books in the general and text book sections are issued for one week only. Books in the reserve section are issued with advance reservation and prior permission of the librarian. They are issued only on an overnight basis after 1.00 p.m. and must be returned by 9.30 a.m. the following day. Reference books and periodicals are available for consultation only. The library has been computerized. Internet facility is also available to the student. |

| RULES |

(a) Reader’s tickets are not transferable.
(b) Honours students will be given three tickets and a reference card. Pass course students will be given two tickets and a reference card.
(c) The reference card is to be produced everyday at all service points, i.e. the entrance, the issue counter, the reference section etc.
(d) Students will be required to bring one passport size photograph for their reference cards.
(e) Students will be fined at the rate of Re1.00 per day late return of books & Rs. 2.00 for late return of reference books.
(f) Students will be fined for damage of library books and may even be deprived of library facilities.
(g) Any students using or misappropriating another student’s tickets/tickets will be severely penalized.
(h) Loss of books must be immediately reported to the librarian in writing failing which the students will be liable to pay a heavy fine including one and a half times the cost of the book. Tearing the pages from any library book/magazine will be fined heavily.
(i) Students are required to look up the library notice-board from time to time for library rules and regulations and any other information concerning the library.
(j) Loss of library tickets has to be reported to the librarian. A duplicate library card will be made available on payment of Rs 5/- and a duplicate reference card will be available for Rs. 10/- |

| MEDICAL CARE |

| All students may undergo a thorough medical check-up once a year. There is a nurse to look after the needs of the students. They can avail of medical help in the Medical Room (Room No. 15) whenever necessary. Students can avail of medical consultation and treatment, without any extra Charge at W.U.S. Health Centre located at Chhatra Marg, University of Delhi after showing their Identity Card. |

| FACILITIES FOR STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS |

| The college provides a sensitive and friendly atmosphere to the visually challenged students. It has a fairly large number of such students in all the courses. The college has set up a Disability Unit in 2006-07 with the help obf UGC grant in the 10th plan period under the HEPSN program. This unit caters to the needs of students with visual disability. The College is also committed to make them computer literate and to improve their English language skills so that they too construct as bright and normal a universe for themselves as possible. |
